The jail does look very large but some of the prisoners are placed into a separate building that is for individuals that are involved in the work release program within the jail. When you first enter you will not be in that house. You will be in with the general population until you earn your right in the other house.

Every person that comes into the jail will need to have their fingerprints taken so that they can be placed in the computer. This is needed so that you can be identified if you were to escape or to be released and possibly commit another crime.

You will be allowed to have visitors on certain days and for a certain amount of time. If you have family that you would like to see but you are not sure if they can visit you or not you will want to look at the Utah county jail website or you can ask someone that works at the jail. They will be able to help you understand who can visit and when.

No one is really ever ready to spend time in jail, away from their friends and family. But, when you know what to expect you will be able to relax just a little bit more. It often helps to research the topic and learn as much as you can. They have a very informative website that might be able to help you. You should be able to find information on any aspect of the jail on this website.
