So you are going on vacation and you don’t know what to do with Fido? You could leave him at home and have the neighbor kid come by twice a day to feed him and let him out. Or you could take him to a boarding kennel so he is cared for daily. However, all boarding kennels are not created equal. You should consider your dog and his happiness. One of the best ways to do this is tour your local dog kennel and make sure it meets what you consider to be adequate for your dog.
There are some out there that are more than you run of the mill doggie hotel, some are more of a vacation for the dog too. You can find them that offer swimming, play time with other dogs and individually with a person and even a massage if you want. They also get to bring some of their toys to make them feel a little more comfortable.
Don’t just drop your dog off at the kennel, take time to learn about kennels so you have peace of mind and your dog has an enjoyable experience.
