A great place to find ivory bridal shoes is at Nordstrom.  Their shoe selection is fantastic and they have both designer shoes and less expensive brands.  I recently went shopping there and found that their shoe salesmen to be extremely helpful.  One of the main reasons is because they work on commission.  Therefore, they are eager to find you the shoe you need.

One strategy for shopping there is to first peruse the entire area to see if there are any discounts.  Twice a year, they have a large sale on shoes – first, during the anniversary sale and then during their women’s sale.  You will find shoes that are almost 40% off.  This is where I found my beautiful ivory bridal shoes.  This pair, made by Stuart Weitzman, has little straps in front with a cute rhinestone buckle.  There is also an ankle strap that helps to hold my feet in.  I fell in love with them right away after the salesperson pulled that shoe for me.  It was the easiest process since I just told him that I was looking for ivory wedding shoes and he went through the store and found all of the different options for me.  I even told him my price range and he only found shoes that I could afford.

Comfortable wedding shoes

Many brides forget that one of the most important things to have on their wedding day are a pair of comfortable wedding shoes.  Too many times, they spend time thinking about what would match best with their dress.  For an ivory dress they buy ivory wedding shoes, for a white dress, they buy white bridal shoes.  While these shoes will match well, they may not be comfortable and they will ruin a bride’s feet on her big day.

Therefore, the most important thing to think about is having comfortable bridal shoes.  When trying on the shoes, make sure you try them on at the end of the day when your feet are swelled up from walking around and standing all day at the mall.  After purchasing them, wear them around the house at home and walk around in them for more than an hour or two.  Keep them clean by just wearing them around your house.  This way, you can tell if you’ll be able to wear them for more than a few hours.  If not and if they feel uncomfortable, try adding shoe pads so that you can see whether or not this makes a difference.  If this still doesn’t make a difference, then return them.  As a bride, you will be on your feet for more than 8 to 10 hours.  The most important thing is to have comfortable wedding shoes on your big day.
