Home repossession is something that affects the lives of all members of any family that suffer the humiliation of experiencing it.  The fact of the matter is that the human cost of this economic crisis has yet to be felt in its entirity.  All the stories in the newspapers and on the television and internet relate to headline grabbing stories of mass job losses, or plants closing and widescale unemployment, but the truth is that all behind every home repossession is the story of real suffering that is individual in nature and not general.  Perhaps this is the reason these tales of real suffering go largely unreported, because the subject matter genuinely makes most folk feel uncomfortable, or perhaps the stories are just a little bit too close to home for comfort.

If you need to stop car repossession, hit the road and run!  Kidding.  If you have missed some of your car payments, call your auto loan lender immediately to see what kind of plan you can work out.  Most companies will take a payment plan or lump sum of money that will include all of the money that you owe, plus some penalties or fees, and let you keep your car.  If you are way far behind on your payments, this option might not be available.  If the repo man is after you for defaulting on an auto title loan, you are going to have a hard time getting away with this one.  Auto title lenders make a ton of money by repossessing cars, and will be very difficult to work with to keep your car.  Call them immediately to see if there are any options available to you.
