Should I Get a Solar Outdoor Chandelier for My Gazebo?

When you’re searching for outdoor chandeliers to use in your gazebo, you have two main options to choose from.  You can either get a solar powered chandelier or a regular, electrical chandelier.  Both have their good attributes and which option that you choose will depend on what you want out of your chandelier and how much money you’re willing to invest.

First the good parts about owning an electrical chandelier.  These are plugged directly into your home’s current, so they’re dependable and always there when you need them.  They also tend to be a little bit brighter than solar lights because they run on a standard electrical circuit and have access to more power than most batteries can provide.

But, for these advantage you of course need an electrical wire in your gazebo to attach the chandelier to.  If you already have a wire run to your gazebo, an electrical chandelier may be your best option, but if you don’t, you might end up with quite a large bill for to hire an electrician to run the cable.

To get around this, you can install a solar chandelier.  Solar chandeliers are a great option because the simplify the entire installation process.  You don’t have to run any cables or wires, all that you have to do is attach the solar panel to the roof of your gazebo!  The light that is put out is a little bit dimmer and you won’t have quite the same selection that you would for an electrical chandelier, but there are still enough options out there that you can surely find one that matches your style.

Whether you choose to install a solar or electrical powered chandelier will depend on how much money you are willing to spend on your lighting.  For the simplest installation, solar chandeliers are the best but you sacrifice a little brightness, dependability, and choice in fixtures styles in return.
