Getting engaged is an expensive time for many people. Not only are their parties to have, and weddings to arrange but firstly their is an engagement ring that need to be purchased to give that outward symbol of commitment. Traditionally, as many diamond retailers would have us belive, engagement rings should contain a diamond. However, diamonds are not cheap and are also not to everyones taste. In fact there are a wide variety of precious stones out there that many people love to wear, so why not consider one of them.

A prime example an alternative is ruby engagement rings. These bold colored rings offer a truly remarkable alternative and as they are not as popular, but by no means less beautiful, as diamonds they are considerably cheaper.
