Make Money Where You Travel – Teach English Overseas
A great way to see a country is to live and work there. Being able to join a different culture through working is an amazing way to fund your travels and interact with the locals. You will be able to immerse yourself in a different culture, all the while working at something that you are familiar with. Teaching English overseas is a great way to achieve this. It is fun, rewarding, and gives you great life experiences.
You will get to see smaller, more colourful towns than you would by just traveling through a country’s major cities. By spending a year or more in one country, you will learn so much about that culture. You will get to experience their culture like a local. You will live where they live, shop and eat like they do. What better way to explore a culture is there?
On school breaks, like their summer break, you will be able to take off and explore the country and surrounding area in depth. While living and working abroad, you will be making good money that will fund any future travels, or will help you save up for your future back home. A lot of countries will pay for your room and board, which means that almost all your money goes into your savings.
The teaching requirements for teaching overseas are not that involved. Most countries require you to have a degree but it can be in any background. The other necessary requirement is to complete a TEFL course which will certify you to teach abroad. For many TEFL courses, there are no prerequisites. You must be over the age of 20 for most of them, although some offer courses to people as young as 16. Most of the courses are 100 hours broken into about 20 units. Many courses are offered online.
