Make a Cat House Out of Your Old Corner Bookcase
Are you trying to think of something creative to do with your old corner bookcase but can’t quite figure it out? If you’re a pet owner and own one or more loveable cats you might be interested to know that corner bookcases tend to make very nice cat beds and cat trees if you customize them just right. I’ve made a cat tree with cat beds on it out of almost all of the corner bookcase styles from open faced wire frame corner bookcases to short and sturdy wooden corner bookcases.
To customize your bookcase for your cat all you have to do is make sure the cat has easy access up and down the bookcase. Usually what I’ll do (of course this depends on the type of corner bookcase design you have) is cut cat sized holes in the shelves of the bookcase. That allows my cat to climb up and around through all of the shelves.
