Do You Need A Tax Attorney?

July 14th, 2009

If you are in serious debt to the government for back taxes, hiring a tax attorney is a great way to help relieve IRS debt.  If you can afford the legal representation you will save yourself a ton of time and headache, as well as the possibility of a ton of cash.  Tax attorneys have experience dealing with your taxes and know what works to save money and what does not.  If you do not think you can afford a tax attorney, many of them will offer legal advice and help without actually going through the process for you which will cost a ton less than having them go to court.  A tax attorney is especially helpful when you are going to apply for an Offer In Compromise or other rare IRS tax program.
