Stock advice from brokers would help you get the best shares in the market.  Most often they would suggest that before you indulge yourself in rapid buy and sell of stocks, you can try it out with a mock portfolio.  You can easily get these portfolios online without any worries.  This is often the best way to get before getting into the real deal of the market.  When doing the actual day trade, consider the stocks that have higher liquidity.  Generally, this would mean the stock has lots of buyers and sellers.

As part of the criteria in choosing the stocks, do consider the volume of shares for that company that are being traded.  The eligibility for the stock to fall under the category of day trading would be 500,000 traded shares per day.  On another aspect, it would be wise to check the volatility of the stock.  This is the actual movement of the stock in a given time and day.  Lastly, in choosing the right stock, you would have to look at the transparency of the stock or the ability of the trader to check the market depth and how much money you can make from the stock.
