An Inside Look at Fear

December 22nd, 2009

In order for you to surpass your fear of driving, you must remedy your problem steadily from ground zero and up. What does this remedying from ground zero and up mean? This typical problem is complex by itself already due to the fact that this fear does not merely consist of a somewhat vacuum effect wherein it goes away whenever a particular activity is not happening or being carried out.

No, that is rarely the case. To ultimately fight this driving phobia and win you should be able to defeat all of the different components of fear which is involved. You have the fear of danger, the driving fear itself, fear of crashing onto other vehicles, fear of trampling other people on the street and a whole lot more.

Now, for you to accomplish this, you need to take a step by step endeavor to eventually smoothen out all the difficulties away from the big picture. You can begin by internalizing and asking yourself – what’s so scary about driving and why am I so afraid of it?

You see, rationalization is a great tool which can beat and get rid of your irrational fears and fantasies with regards to certain situations. You might also want to write down all of your fears on a piece of paper and on the other side, state your reasons as to why you are afraid of them.

Making them visible is already one way of how you can take control of them. Think about it, if you can write down the reasons on why you CANNOT do them, then for sure you can come up with more reasons why you CAN do it despite of your fears.

You will also find that your fear of the road and the anxiety while driving that you feel is practically baseless and are most likely consequences brought about by isolated events like accidents for example. One thing must always be remembered, there is this huge difference between driving responsibly and yet you experience accidents and meeting every misfortune simply because you drove your car. With this known, you will find it a lot easier as to why it is still possible for you to drive your car.

She wanted to ask some questions: She said, there are several places where you use salt in witchcraft ritual (the bath and the actual ceremony); why is salt important? Is it intrinsically magical? Are there special properties that make it useful? I replied: Oops, I don’t explain? Whew, an oversight. Well, yes, the use of salt is very important, just like a candle (flame), and water, and smoke (incense or Bay leaves). Salt represents the element of earth and it is a strong purifier. I and many others consider it to be an essential ingredient in purification rituals. I recommend you use salt and the other three as well- water, fire (candle) and air (Bay leaves/incense). Note, unlike in Wicca, we do not mix salt and water. Each one is a separate means of purification.

Many have tried it, but few have every achieved a nice shave head look. Here are some tips for determining when or whether you should attempt the shave head look. First you must look at the shape of your head. Is your head nicely rounded. Do you have scars or nicks or cuts. If so, the shave head look may not look good on you. Is your hair thinning or do you have a receeding hair line. If so, you should consider the shave head look. In order to achieve this look, you can either shave completely or you can use a very close trim with a number one on a set of clippers. Either way look at your situation and assess whether you want to take the plunge and shave your head.

Time Management the Pareto Way

October 25th, 2009
Comments Off

Time management is big business. It has spawned an army of consultants, filing systems and strategies. Many operate on the principle that the more tickler files you have, or the bigger your desk diary, the more organized your life will be. The popularity of David’s Allen’s “Getting Things Done” system is evidence of the universal human desire to wrestle with, grapple with and master time, to squeeze the juice out of this fleeting experience we call life.

There is another way, and it is the Pareto Way. You may be familiar with Vilfredo Pareto, who analyzed the wealth distribution in nineteenth century England and found that 80% of the wealth was owned by 20% of the population. Curiously, he found this pattern repeated throughout history, like a Fibonnaci sequence in the economic world. Richard Koch’s time management classic “The 80/20 Principle” has taken the groundbreaking ideas of this obscure Italian economist and has shown the revolutionary opportunities they offer for better time management.

William of Ockham, the medieval theologian, famously commented that the simplest and most elegant solution is usually the best. (This rule is known as Occam’s Razor). Koch’s book appears simple, but precisely because it is so powerful.

This book is manna from heaven for those who are naturally lazy, or even just a little sluggish, but want to achieve big results. Its credibility is enhanced because the author is the very opposite of a fly-by-night success guru; rather he is an Oxford graduate and internationally recognized entrepreneur who made a fortune in a range of diverse industries. He also appreciates the importance of stable and balanced life, and offers some great meditations on the self-renewing nature of time.

The old adage that less is more is revealed in this intelligent and thought-provoking work, which was labelled by GQ as one of their top 25 business books of the century. It deserves an essential place on the bookshelf of every manager, parent and student – or just anyone who wants to know how to turbocharge their life through better time management. The Pareto Way is a rewarding path to follow.

Don’t Try So Hard To Attract Women

Why is it that so many guys try so hard to attract women.  Well, yea I know the obvious reasons, but maybe that’s not quite the right way to ask my question.  What I was thinking, was why do guys think they can learn how to attract women by reading a bunch of useless stuff on the internet.  What you really need to do, is just start behaving like yourself.  Don’t try to be someone your not.  Women and other guys in general can sense that from a mile away.  Of course if your  a jerk to start with, then maybe you should concentrate on cleaning up your behavior before you start acting yourself.  Being a pain in the you know where can definitely be a problem when it comes to getting chicks.  Of course that’s a whole other discussion.

Laser removal of pubic hair

When we speak of Brazilian bikini laser hair removal we are talking about removing the pubic hair. This is a fairly new technique and not much people have heard about it because they maybe never considered doing a thing like that. The big advantage of removal of the pubic hair is that your skin will feel clean and look healthy. It will also save you a lot of time and effort because you do not have to wax or shave your pubic hair anymore. The disadvantage could be that the hair will never grow back again. When you are young this will be a good thing, but when you are a grandma it might not be so seductive any more. Another downside is that it will cost you some money doing this procedure.

When Are Psychic Readings Online the Best Choice?

September 24th, 2009

First of all, before we even get into the business about what a psychic reading is all about, let’s take a step back.  You have to understand that the nature of phone psychics is to simply provide you with information that may help clarify some blocks or issues you are having with your life’s direction.  Therefore, the way that you get this information may be either over the phone as with the traditional phone psychic or online ie. psychic readings online.

It is very similar to the whole notion about whether or not a psychic is a clairvoyant or whether they are a medium.  Most times, the names that we call them only capture one aspect of what they do.  The fact that we say they are a phone psychic simply tells us that they are providing the information they provide to us by phone.  Another great option would be to get this information online, often via an email.  An email psychic reading can be a valuable tool as well because then it is in printed form.  You can read and re-read the information to gain a further depth of understanding.  This is why many people with access are making this their preferred choice.

Marriage Counselor Facts

There are conflicting data about the effectiveness of marriage counseling. If the marriage counselor is not qualified, then the counseling won’t do you any good. Many people claim that marriage counseling can actually negatively affect marriages, leading to a divorce. Others cite the need for greater, more effective communication and exploring the need to break down communications barriers. I’m going to eschew the statistics and numbers and ask this simply question. If a couple is struggling to maintain the happiness in their marriage, would they be better off letting the problem fester and grow or seeking help for the problem? It’s an easy question to answer. Of course seeking out professional help is the correct response. Having someone more experience to guide you and your spouse through rocky patches is far more advisable than not.
